The Electric Comma Four (2013) is a photographic excerpt of a thirteen-line poem written by Shannon Ebner in 2011. For its photographic realization, Ebner rented a decommissioned Portable Changeable Message Sign, a device typically used for roadside directives such as emergencies, detours, or closures, and programmed it to display the text. The poem was then photographed and has since been exhibited at V-A-C Foundation, Venice in collaboration with Kadist and Sadie Coles HQ, London, among other places.
